"It is enough for good
people to do nothing, for evil people to succeed."
12 Little Things Every Filipino Can Do To Help Our Country
by Alexander L. Lacson
It is time that we make a social
change in our world.
Those whom we have in the office are being allowed to
do things behind our backs, as if it was survival of the fittest, and it
is about time that we, we the people, do something about it. As
Thomas Jefferson once said "In free governments the rulers are the
servants and the people their superiors and sovereigns."
[1]
Too many religious people are so caught up in this
theory on, "why polish brass on a sinking ship," that they has thrown in
the towel and would rather the world get worse since their pastors have
told them that that is what must happen to fulfill Bible prophecy but what
is really being fulfilled is self-prophecy.
As one article, that I read, has shared:
“…the church can no
longer afford to watch on the sidelines while our ship is sinking. The
church can no longer afford to dichotomize the spiritual and the
physical. The church can no longer afford not to be involved. Or else,
it will render itself obsolete and irrelevant; it will throw itself to
the dustbin of history.
“It is high time that
the church puts equal emphasis on evangelism and social action and not
to put one over the other. The two are not rivals, they have never been.
Neither one can stand on its own…. It is only by being both an
evangelist and a social activist that we truly can become followers of
Jesus. He is our model.” [“EVANGELICALS
today,” Volume XXXIII No. 2 on pages 9] [2]
How sad today to see so many of God's people making
so much of "the rapture" as a means of escaping tribulation, and hoping,
trusting, and pleading for God to take them out of this world just when
they are most needed. [3]
Our
subconscious, where "events that occur in the mind or brain that
are not within phenomenal or access consciousness..."
[4] "...determines your thinking and your
decisions determine your actions, which eventually determine your
outcome,"[5] on life. If we do not renew
our minds with the truth, it will be a mighty longer time before the good
that humanity can bring towards this world will ever show itself.
Lets begin making a difference.
