Eph 3 :21 Unto him be glory in the Church
by Christ Jesus throughout all ages
World Without End Amen

David Curtis

The Law system was a shadow of the good things to come. The good things were the spiritual things of the gospel. It had been prophesied that Jerusalem would be destroyed and that God would raise a spiritual temple, the church, Christ's body.

The "End Times" According To Jesus
The Olivet Discourse &
Matthew & The Second Coming

Matthew 24 and 25 are the "heart" of New Testament prophecy. This is the Lord's teaching on the times of the end. Looking at this text through first century glasses gives us a whole new meaning of Jesus' words. Jesus is not talking to us (twentieth century Americans), but to His disciples (first century Jews). Things that were future (to them), at the time of the writing, are ancient history to us. This whole discourse is concerned with answering the disciple's questions concerning the end of the Jewish age (not world) and the parousia of Christ, both of which would be demonstrated by the destruction of Jerusalem and the Jewish temple. If you study through these messages I think they will answer just about all of your questions on the preterist view of eschatology.
