ACCOUNTABILITY OF
PUBLIC OFFICERS

Section 1. Public office is a public trust. Public officers and employees must, at all times, be accountable to the people, serve them with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty, and efficiency; act with patriotism and justice, and lead modest lives.

NOTICE:

Effective February 15,2008 all applicants for extension (tourist visa) under the VIMS (VISA ISSUANCE MADE SIMPLE) are required to pay in addition to immigration fees, Certification fee of P500, Express fee of P500 plus Legal Research Fee of P10 for every transaction.

All applicants for extension are required to dress properly. Applicants wearing shorts, sandos, and slippers will not be allowed entry to Immigration Office. 

 

FEES

    Sec 42. (a) In addition to the documentary stamp required by existing law, there shall be collected and paid into the Philippine Treasury the following fees for services, as indicated, for aliens seeking to enter or remain in the Philippines under the provisions of this Act:

 

  1. Application for non-immigrant visa P30.00
  2. Passport visa for non-immigrant P50.00
  3. Application for pre-arranged employment visa P100.00

Provided, further still, that all aliens admitted to "pre-arranged employment" under section nine (9) of this Act, but engaged exclusively in religious or educational work, shall be exempted from the payment of the monthly fee of ten pesos for every month of extension of temporary stay. [Added pursuant to Republic Act No. 1901]

(b) No fee shall be charged for a passport visa granted to a foreign government official or his family, attendants, servants, and employees nor shall a fee be charged for a passport visa for non-immigrant in transit to destination outside the Philippines.
 
(c) A fee of twenty pesos shall be charged for the issuance of an immigration clearance certificate of an alien in the Philippines who departs for temporary or permanent residence abroad. [Added pursuant to Republic Act No. 144, Sec. 4]
